Neptune and Astral are densely compacted single layer vinyl rolls comprising Sanosol®, a special anti-bacterial/fungicidal treatment throughout the thickness of the product that prevents moisture and growth of bacteria, is fully flexible and easy-to-weld for maximum hygiene. Offering uniform thickness, colouration throughout the thickness of the material and low porosity, Neptune and Astral deliver exceptional performance and abrasion resistance particularly suited to hostile hygienic environments. Both ranges include either a protective Evercare® or PU coating respectively for improved wear and ease of maintenance, preventing excessive abrasion, minimising scratching or staining of the surface after installation.
Neptune boasts the patented UV laser cross-linking application called Evercare® which delivers a protective wear-layer for life that needs no polishing or sealing after installation. Developed by seventy engineers in three R&D centres in partnership with laboratories and universities worldwide, Evercare® is a new generation surface treatment ideally suited to environments such as the healthcare sector with strict technological constraints. Ensuring extreme stain resistance and low porosity to common surgical solutions such as iodine, betadine and concentrated nitric or sulphuric acid, Neptune offers high performance and durability in 13 popular colours with a superior wear rating of P that is ideal for wards, laboratories, ICU’s and trauma centres. The laser application process of Evercare® ensures that the treatment is an intrinsic part of the molecular structure of the surface, guaranteeing it won’t wear off, and removes the need for polishing and resealing for the life of the product. Apart of being easy to clean, Neptune with Evercare® ensures low maintenance and appearance retention at low environmental cost - the durable design and lasting colour brightness saves water and detergents, with low VOC’s and a high return on investment.
Astral’s PU coating protects the surface during and after installation, offering improved resistance to abrasion with a wear group rating of M in 13 fashionable colours. Acrylic emulsion and regular polishing is required to maintain its appearance and prevent stains seeping into the floor.
