Once Belgotex had taken the decision to become a committed, environmentally friendly organisation, the hard work really started. In conjunction with our stakeholders, we drew up a list of goals and took our first steps on what has become affectionately known as 'Our Green Journey'.
Our main goal was to operate an eco friendly 'green' factory, while still producing products of international quality and standards. We were aware of the impact our activities as a company had and vowed to minimise and manage any negative effects of these activities on the environment.
Our first steps have become milestones, and we’re proud to say that we are officially ISO 9001 certified and have attained ISO 14001 certification. We are also actively involved in the community through organisations like CINDI and Belgotex Floorcoverings Academy formerly known as Carpet Pro.
For us at Belgotex, going green is not just a passing phase. It is something that we believe in wholeheartedly and are committed to without exception. For us, it has become a way of life.
